Employers urged to make staff whose employment has been disrupted by the pandemic aware of free online training opportunities.

The Minister for the Economy has announced 3,000 funded online training places for people whose employment has been disrupted by the coronavirus pandemic. The courses will be delivered by the local colleges and universities and will have a focus on priority economic sectors including:
  • digital skills
  • green technologies
  • healthcare and life sciences
  • leadership and management
Employers are urged to make staff whose employment has been disrupted by the pandemic aware of these free training places. It offers people the opportunity to upskill and reskill. The courses will be delivered online, except where there is a technical aspect, which required face-to-face learning.
